(FREE) Yoga and Mimosas - Saturday, September 12th 11am September 08, 2015 22:43

Taught by the incredible Misa Nuccio:
Misa received her MPH in 2015 from Columbia University's Department of Sociomedical Sciences, with a certificate in health promotion, research, and practice. Prior to her studies at Columbia, she worked in chronic disease prevention for a variety of health outcomes including cancer, diabetes, and obesity. Misa worked for the American Cancer Society as a manager where she lead teams in community organizing, cancer education, policy advocacy and research initiatives. Additionally, as the recipient of a merit-based scholarship for the employee healthcare and benefits congress, Misa developed a passion for utilizing the worksite as a chronic disease prevention intervention setting.
Currently, she is working as the Chief Health Officer at Blue Mesa Health, a diabetes prevention health tech start up based out of New York.
Misa aims to assist her students in building a stronger mind-body connection through the use of breath, alignment, and encouragement of self-compassion. Her love for helping others understand their own unique gifts and bodies is weaved into her instruction in an accessible way. Misa believes that yoga has something to offer everyone, no matter what state the body or mind is in. Her classes are suitably challenging, engaging, and educational. She strengthens her student’s minds and bodies, and they leave feeling rejuvenated. Misa has been practicing the art of yoga for 13 years, and completed her teacher training with YogaWorks in Walnut Creek, CA in 2010.

A Sit Down Dinner in the Shop

Join us for a pop-up dining experience with food by Kate Galassi

We are continually influenced by the place where we go to swim in rushing streams, stroll through overgrown meadows and search for antlers in the woods. Upstate, NY is the inspiration for our company's origin and this meal by Kate Galassi. A talented forager and chef, Kate will source ingredients from the Hudson Valley for a fresh and delicious evening!
